The Men's Group of Southwood is a loose knit group of men from the church. We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at 8:00 am, except for July and August. We take turns preparing our tasty breakfasts and coffee. On occasion there is a speaker, we have discussions, and at times go over to the Lutheran Church men's group next door or they visit us. There is a $5.00 collection each month; every other month it is given to the church building fund, and the other month to a member's (Duke Du Plessis) son-in-law Beat Kunz who is working in the Congo for Wycliffe translating the Bible into native languages. The men are also called upon to do different activities, such as arranging the Stampede Breakfast (the usual great sausage and pancakes), peeling apples for UCW pie making; and waiting on tables in the tea room for the Bazaar. All in all we have great fellowship together.
