Inn from the Cold is not one building. It is a community. It is not one place, but rather a network of over 67 churches and organizations that open their doors and hearts to Calgary's homeless families and others in need, every day of the week, every week of the year.

The Inn is a place of respect, acceptance and compassion. For those whose lives have hit rock bottom, it is a place of refuge. The Inn is about community helping community. Through financial donations, organizations and individuals are helping us make a difference by providing temporary emergency shelter, as well as the programs and support families need to break free from the cycle of homelessness. Together, we are building a bridge between homelessness and hope. Inn From the Cold takes place at Southwood United on the second Sunday of every month. The program provides overnight accommodation for up to 15 homeless persons (often families) as well as supper, breakfast and a bagged lunch. This program is operated entirely by volunteers.

If there is a 5th Sunday, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church hosts Inn From the Cold at Southwood United Church.
