Congregational "Outreach" projects continue year round. Through these projects, Southwood is able to offer support to agencies such as the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank, the Calgary Drop-in Centre, Inn from the Cold, and more.
Operation Sandwich
Makes dozens of loaves of sandwiches monthly for The Calgary Drop-in CentreMen and women of the congregation make dozens of loaves of fresh sandwiches which are delivered to the Drop-In Centre each month.
Holiday Hampers
Thanks to the generous donations of our Congregation, 13 families received Hampers this Thanksgiving. All of them expressed sincere gratitude for the efforts and generosity of so many peopleWonderful hampers are prepared for families in need at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. For Christmas 2006, 28 hampers were prepared and delivered with more than a dozen of them including individually wrapped gifts. The gratitude's expressed was overwhelming and heart wrenching..
