Our Purpose Statement
We live to be a community of faith nurturing the transformation of people in Jesus Christ.
Our Mission Statement
To be a biblically based, Christ centered, worshipping people of faith, serving the spiritual, pastoral, and social needs of our congregation and the wider community, committed to the ideals of teaching, sharing, caring, and encouragement.
Our Congregation
In 2003 we celebrated forty years as a United Church Congregation serving the Southwood Community. In those 40 years, by the grace of God, we have grown from a small dedicated fellowship meeting in a local school, to the point where we were stretching the capacity of our modern multi-purpose facility built in 1982, and expanded in 1998.

Today we are a vital and thriving church community of 400 households, who are worshipping, serving and growing together in spirit, faith, and witness. We offer two services each Sunday and a large variety of Education, Pastoral Care, Service and Fellowship programs throughout the week.

Our congregation underwent the process of striking a Joint Needs Assessment Committee in 2002 and 2005 to complete reports for the purposes of assessing our congregational needs for staffing and resources. Both reports are available below. You will need Adobe Reader to view these reports.
